Root cause analysis
Overview
-
When analyzing a business process, identify the fields most closely associated with a particular outcome so you can address its root causes.
-
Root cause analysis compares how case fields influence a particular behavior. First, define reference cases with a time period filter. Within that group, choose the behavior to analyze, such as cases with a particular tag; these are the selected cases. A field's influence depends on how often it occurs among the selected cases.
Features
- Violation analysis compares absolute and relative frequencies of attribute values for the selected violation type. For details, see Conformance Check.
- View average throughput time between activities, affected cases, and within-case share, together with Root cause analysis results for the corresponding activity relationship. For details, see Bottlenecks.
