Object-Centric Process Mining

OCPM (Object-Centric Process Mining) analyzes complex processes involving multiple business objects, such as orders, contracts, invoices, and customers. Unlike traditional case-centric analysis, it uses OCEL (Object-Centric Event Log) structures to associate events with multiple object instances, representing intersecting, parallel, and nested business relationships more faithfully.
You define object types, instances, and relationships during data preparation or modeling. Object and relationship modeling bring events from different object perspectives into a unified analysis view, providing an overall understanding of how multiple objects interact.
Instead of a single linear process perspective, OCPM shows multiple object lifecycles and their interactions together. This helps identify cross-object waiting, repetition, and blocking, offering a richer perspective for optimizing and redesigning complex processes.
